International Sales Prove Fitness
Programming Has No Borders (Toronto September 3, 2002)
- Noble Entertainment's URBAN FITNESS TV has scored
a number of international sales including 26 half-hours
to Canada's Department of National Defense, 26 half-hours
to Fiteurope/TV Pride, 26 half-hours to Australian
Television Services. and 26 half-hours to Israel's
Ego Channel.
The Department of National Defense office responsible
for transmission of radio and TV is the Canadian Forces
Personnel Support Agency (CFPSA), which exists to
enhance the quality of life of the military community
and contribute to the operational effectiveness of
the Canadian Forces. This means approximately 4000
Canadian troops in Europe, Middle East, and Afghanistan
can enjoy URBAN FITNESS TV during their 6-month stay,
via state of the art closed-circuit broadcasting systems.
No matter what your fitness
level is, URBAN FITNESS TV has something for everyone
says Paula McLaren of Breakthrough Entertainment.
"It's hip, informative, and inspiring. From the
average viewer to the advanced fitness buff - everyone
will take something away from it. That's why this
series works so well on such a variety of different
channels." URBAN FITNESS TV will air on Fiteurope,
a cable and satellite specialty channel, starting
December 1, 2002 and will be broadcasted to France,
Belgium, French-speaking Switzerland, Luxembourg,
and Monaco. Australian Television Services has licensed
the show for subscription TV and will begin broadcasting
nation-wide February 3, 2003. Israel's Ego Channel,
a men's cable and satellite channel owned by Ananey
Communications, will begin broadcasting Urban Fitness
TV September 1, 2002 in Hebrew, Russian, and Arabic
languages.
"Even in development stages,
URBAN FITNESS TV was packaged as a fitness lifestyle
program to appeal to the international television
marketplace," said Derek Noble, Executive Producer
and host of the show. "After a very successful
first season on Canada's digital PrideVision Television
which attracted major sponsors and advertisers, international
sales were immanent.
More than an exercise show,
URBAN FITNESS TV, delivers a fast paced, visually
exhilarating fitness and wellness magazine show, perfect
for the hip urbanite. Provocative subjects and vanguard
graphics set the tone and style. It is Fit Goes Glam!
A blend of the latest in fitness and health, designer
gear, and celebrity guests while featuring personal
training and body sculpting. URBAN FITNESS TV will
be launching on One Body Mind and Spirit digital channel
this fall.
Noble Entertainment is currently
in production of a pilot called "Reel Famous"
with Famous Players Inc (A Viacom Company) to develop
a new hip reality TV series with a big-screen feel.
